Welcome to CTC Mobile Services. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website (CTCMobileServices.com) and our mobile Clean Truck Check testing services. By booking an inspection or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully before scheduling an appointment.

Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website, booking an appointment, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer," "you," or "your") and CTC Mobile Services ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

Description of Services

CTC Mobile Services provides mobile Clean Truck Check (CTC) emissions testing for heavy-duty vehicles in the San Gabriel Valley and surrounding areas.

What We Do

We perform on-site OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) inspections for vehicles that require Clean Truck Check compliance under California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations. Our CARB-credentialed technicians come to your location to test your vehicles.

Vehicles We Test

Our OBD testing services apply to:

  • 2013 and newer diesel vehicles
  • 2018 and newer alternative fuel vehicles
  • Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 14,001 lbs or more

What We Don't Do

We do not perform smoke opacity testing for older vehicles. We do not provide mechanical repairs, maintenance, or emissions system modifications. Our service is limited to testing and reporting.

Booking and Scheduling

How to Book

Confirmation

After you request an appointment, we will contact you to confirm the date, time, location, and number of vehicles. Your appointment is not confirmed until you receive confirmation from us.

Service Area

We serve locations within approximately 20 miles of City of Industry, CA. If your location is outside our standard service area, contact us to discuss availability.

Appointment Windows

We offer appointments during early morning hours (6AM-8AM), evening hours (5PM-9PM), and weekends. Specific availability varies based on our schedule.

Pricing and Payment

Current Pricing

  • Single Vehicle (1 truck): $129 per inspection
  • Small Fleet (2-5 trucks): $99 per vehicle
  • Large Fleet (6+ trucks): $79 per vehicle

Pricing is subject to change. We will confirm pricing when you book your appointment.

When Payment Is Due

Payment is due at the time of service, after testing is complete.

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. For fleet accounts, we may offer invoicing with net-30 terms upon credit approval.

Additional Fees

If we arrive at your location and cannot complete testing due to issues within your control (vehicles not accessible, keys not available, etc.), a trip fee of $50 may apply.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

Rescheduling

You may reschedule your appointment at no charge if you provide at least 24 hours notice. Same-day reschedule requests are treated as cancellations.

No-Shows

If we arrive at your scheduled location and you are not available or your vehicles are not ready for testing, a $75 no-show fee may apply. We will attempt to contact you before leaving.

Our Cancellations

If we need to cancel or reschedule due to weather, equipment issues, or other circumstances beyond our control, we will notify you as soon as possible and reschedule at no additional cost.

Customer Responsibilities

To ensure your appointment goes smoothly, you agree to:

Vehicle Accessibility

Have all vehicles scheduled for testing accessible and ready at the agreed-upon location when we arrive. Vehicles should not be blocked by other vehicles or obstacles.

Keys and Access

Provide keys or fobs for all vehicles to be tested. A representative must be present or available by phone during the appointment.

Running Condition

Vehicles must be able to start and run for the OBD scan to be performed. If a vehicle cannot start, we cannot test it.

Accurate Information

Provide accurate vehicle counts, types, and model years when booking. If the actual number of vehicles differs significantly from the booking, we may need to reschedule or adjust pricing.

Safe Work Environment

Ensure the testing area is safe for our technicians. This includes adequate lighting, stable ground, and freedom from hazards.

Test Results and Compliance

How Testing Works

Our technicians perform an OBD scan that takes approximately 2 minutes per vehicle. The scan reads your vehicle's emissions system data.

Results Submission

Test results are uploaded to CARB's system in real time or shortly after the inspection. Passing vehicles are immediately compliant. You will receive documentation of your test results.

If a Vehicle Passes

Your vehicle is compliant with Clean Truck Check requirements. The passing result is recorded with CARB.

If a Vehicle Fails

If a vehicle fails the inspection:

  • You will receive a report identifying the issue
  • You have 90 days to make repairs and obtain a passing retest
  • We offer retesting at a discounted rate
  • During the 90-day period, your vehicle may continue to operate

Retest Policy

Retests within 90 days of a failed inspection are available at a reduced rate. Contact us to schedule a retest after repairs are complete.

CARB Compliance

You are responsible for maintaining compliance with all CARB regulations. Our testing service helps you meet Clean Truck Check requirements, but overall fleet compliance is your responsibility.

Limitation of Liability

Scope of Our Liability

Our liability is limited to the fees you paid for the specific testing service. We are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing mechanical or emissions system issues with your vehicles
  • Fines, penalties, or enforcement actions by CARB or other agencies
  • Business losses, lost revenue, or consequential damages of any kind
  • Delays in testing or results submission due to circumstances beyond our control
  • Damage to vehicles unless caused by our gross negligence

No Guarantee of Results

We test vehicles according to CARB protocols. We cannot guarantee that any vehicle will pass. Test results depend on the condition of your vehicle's emissions systems.

Accuracy of Results

While we take care to perform accurate testing, OBD results reflect what your vehicle's computer reports. We are not responsible for inaccurate readings caused by vehicle malfunctions or sensor issues.

Warranty Disclaimer

Testing Service Only

We provide emissions testing services only. We do not warrant or guarantee:

  • The mechanical condition of your vehicles
  • That repairs will result in a passing retest
  • That your vehicles will remain compliant after testing
  • The performance of any third-party repair services

No Repair Services

We do not perform repairs. Any recommendations we provide regarding repairs are informational only. You are responsible for choosing and working with a qualified mechanic.

As-Is Service

Our testing services are provided "as is." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the testing service beyond performing the test according to CARB requirements.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CTC Mobile Services, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of our services
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any law or regulation
  • Any third-party claims related to your vehicles or business operations

This indemnification does not apply to claims arising from our gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.

You agree to attempt to resolve any disputes informally by contacting us before initiating legal action.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes:

  • We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top
  • Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance
  • For significant changes, we may provide additional notice

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
